Course Specifics
Introduction
The Khumbu region, also known as the Everest Region, is an area of Nepal that encompasses the Nepalese side of Mount Everest. It is part of the Solukhumbu District, which in turn is part of the Sagarmatha Region.
The Course
The course is an experience designed to safely immerse participants in an altitude environment. You will spend 17 days trekking to Everest Base Camp (EBC) as well as through the town of Namche Bazaar, Thame, Khumjung , Pangboche , Pheriche and Kunde.
The course aims to introduce participants to the effects of an altitude environment on the human body and introduce strategies to manage teams working at altitude. These lessons will be delivered through lectures, case studies, and hands safety skill sessions.
The course combines 12 hours of CPD with several days of active trekking.
The expedition will be facilitated by experienced clinicians with a passion for mountainous environments.
