The Seminar
The seminar is an experience designed to safely immerse participants in an desert environment. You will spend 6 days working with a camel expedition team to traverse a section of the Birdsville Track
You will work with the team to prepare and lead the camels through the ever changing lanscape.
The seminar aims to introduce participants to the challenges of working in a remote desert environment and introduce strategies to manage conditions and injuries that can occur. These lessons will be delivered through lectures, case studies, and hands-on safety skill sessions.
The expedition will be facilitated by experienced clinicians with a passion for desert environments and combines 12-15 hours of CPD.
The seminar is perfect for the clinician looking to deepen their understanding of desert medicine, whilst enjoying some of the most iconic lanscapes in Australia

A non refundable deposit of $950 is required to secure your place.
Certifications
12-15 hours of face to face CPD may be claimed, with a CPD certificate supplied on completion.
Bookings and confirmation
Send us an email (hello@exploramedicine.com.au) or submit the form below and we will send you an invoice for a deposit to secure your place. Following your initial deposit your position will be confirmed and you will receive a Welcome & Information Pack. Balances are not due until 12 weeks prior to the seminar start date.
A full refund will be provided if this seminar is cancelled by Explora Medicine. Balances are refundable up to 8 weeks prior to the seminar start date minus the initial deposit. Please note that we are not responsible for bookings made in addition to this program and therefore please ensure to check the cancellation terms on your other travel arrangements (eg. flights and extra accommodation) when making your bookings.
