The Course
The 2025 Ocean Medicne Courseis an experience designed to immerse participants in an offshore sailing environment whilst developing fundamental skills in ocean medicine and marine environments.
The course is perfect for the clinician looking to deepen their understanding of the ocean, remote medicine and sailing while enjoying some of the best conditions Australia has to offer. You will be immersed as a crew member, learning the fundametanals of sailing, seamanship and navigation. A series of skill sessions, discussions, drills and scenarios will take your ocean and remote medical skills to the next level.
You may participate as an experienced sailor looking for an exciting CPD event or as a complete novice dipping your toes in the world of ocean medicine for the first time.
You won't be stuck in class all day, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the southern bays and islands. Whether it's fishing, sand toboganning, crabbing, snorkelling the tangalooma wrecks or simply relaxing with a book.
This is available to anyone. This course may be claimable for nurses, paramedic, doctors and alliedhealth care professionals for CPD
Location
Located on the waterways of the sun-kissed entertainment playground that is the southern queensland coast, your days will be spent watching the beautiful sandy beaches go past with ancient rainforests on the hills in the distance.

4 days aboard the vessel.
3 nights accommodation island camping.
